The 35th Annual
Fall River County Democratic
Chicken and Corn Feed is history!
Volunteers working short handed fed well over 200 attendees Friday night. They welcomed speakers US Senators George McGovern and Tim Johnson and State Senator and gubernatorial candidate Scott Heidepriem as well as guests from all over District 30 and even farther - from Vale to Oglala South Dakota.
As the overflow crowd poured in kitchen workers scrambled to order more chicken - ticket taker/seller Suzanne Bloomer did yeoman duty handling a long line of comers.
Jim Sword, Shirley Green and Jill EvangelisteIn the absence of Fall River Democratic Chairman, Pat Ginsbach, Jill Evangeliste filled a big void with her leadership.
Jim Sword took off his State's Attorney's hat and donned oven mitts as he and his wife Val cooked corn.
It was a delight to see so many folk - from old friends to new residents and visitors from near and far!
I had so many inspiring conversations.
